    The ideal candidate is a top-tier software engineer familiar with the fundamentals of software architecture, object-oriented programming, high cohesion and loose coupling. The candidate will possess the ability to desig reliable, maintainable, and highly scalable solutions. The Senior Software Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with other departments to deliver business value through envisioning and delivering innovative, excellent, and beautiful software solutions. The role utilizes best development practices and current design patterns exercising the very best ideas, skills, and abilities daily.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as an integral member of the development team to envision, design, develop, and deliver innovative, exceptional, and beautiful software
    • Maintain an efficient and consistent deployment process, utilizing best practices for version control, separation of environments, and testing
    • Partner with the client's business units to evaluate needs, envision and define technical solutions to meet objectives
    • Keep abreast of technology trends, identifying new technologies the client might employ to be more effective and researching and prototyping new technologies, as applicable
    • Mentor others in industry best practices, procedures and concepts

    Qualifications

    • Top-tier software engineer familiar with software architecture design patterns, object-oriented programming, high cohesion and loose coupling
    • Proven experience building entire software systems from start to finish
    • Substantial experience in database design, normalization and SQL
    • Expert in .Net and C# (or equivalent OOP language)
    • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or related field of study
    • 10+ years of software development experience


    Beneficial Experience (beneficial but not required)
    • Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field of study
    • Proficient in Entity Framework and LINQ
    • Experience in the financial, alternative investments, or managed futures industry
    • Technology or finance related certifications
    • Research language experience such as R, Matlab, and/or Python
    • .Net Core
    • SSRS
    • SQL Server Analysis Services and/or Power BI
    • WPF / XAML
    • Building Modern Web Apps (frontend and/or backend)
    • Angular
    • JavaScript
    • CSS
